If Mad Men were a Hotel it would be the Hotel Elysee in New York where I stayed for the first part of my New York trip. Located in Midtown Manhattan’s business district, just between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. A ‘dangerous’ close distance from all the shops but also a perfect location from which I could walk to Times Square, Central Park, and Broadway.
I was dressed to the nines and on the look out for Don Draper at the hotel’s Happy Hour, but had no luck. Instead, I enjoyed the wine and cheeses while planning my city visit. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time.
These Gucci Heloise lace-up leather boots were so perfect in this location and also very comfortable for my 6-hour walk around midtown Manhattan.
Space is very precious in Manhattan, so having a living area and an office/closet room (not shown in the pictures because I had my luggage explode in there with clothes and shoes) was a pleasant surprise to me.
When outside in New York City streets my head was all the time up looking at skyscrapers, but when inside at the Elysee I felt like being in Europe.
Location: Hotel Elysée 60 East 54th Street 10022 New York – USA
