Omega in Movement: No Happy Hour, Just Cocktail Party

MILAN, ITALY

“With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.”  – Shakespeare The Merchant Of Venice

It is the official 30. I’ve entered today the decade I so muched longed for as a child. Oh… only if I knew. Welcome to the world of adults where no one can tell you what to do with your life. So when I was asked what I needed for my milestone birthday I wanted to put the stamp of ‘Responsible Adult’ on my life so I went and got a dog. Her name is Fuji by the way and more will be shown of her on this blog. That’s all the difference I can actually see right now, because othewise I’ve been a responsible adult for the past 5 years. So according to my own theory, I’ve been a teenager from 15 to 24, and old enough to be taken seriously and young enough to ‘spoil things completely’ from 25 till 35. So ask me how I feel about my achievements in 5 years time.

Because these past 5 years have given me so much experience doing different things, exploring different fields and meeting so many different people that it feels like everything has been a new adventure. And the adventures will continue past my 30th birthday and more amazing people, travels and activities will fill up my life.

It has been a wild ride and I’ve noticed some things have changed while into my adult life. Like for example my new passion for interior design. Not making 100 pinterest boards but actually buying furniture instead of buying bags. It feels mature right? Another change has been my new found love for nicely cooked food and planning dinners with friends possibly with cusines from different countries each time. So when the challange to show my Happy Hour outfit for the Omega in Movement project came, I did my best cocktail party outfit. I don’t do Happy Hours anymore, maybe because I over did them in my 15-24 period.

What better way to celebrate this milestone birthday than dress up and wait for midnight over cocktails.  With the Omega De Ville Prestige Butterfly watch on my wrist counting  the minutes and dressed in the most amazing San Andres Milano dress, my celebratory Prada shoes and the Giancarlo Petriglia bag.
