The first days of my stay in New York I had made it my mission to be the most common tourist. I had my camera, no map, but being in Midtown is very difficult to get lost anyway, and starting going through my list of New York cliches. I went into the Starbucks at the Trump Tower, took my frappuccino with me and sat on a bench in Central Park. Went to the MET to see the Manus x Machina exhibition. Had a hot dog and later a donut. A quick stop at Central Station where I was about to buy an iPad from the Apple store. I visited Times Square, had a huge hamburger at Shake Shack, walked through Broadway being mesmerized by all the lights, later had a drink at Rockefeller center and I was done for the day. I didn’t have my FitBit to count the steps, but for sure I walked a lot.
