The color palette for the Francesco Scognamiglio Spring Summer 2017 collection was a bit cooler than one might typically expect. Blacks, whites, the occasional strawberry gold metallic and the ever elegant Willow China floral print in blue and white which served as the most spring-esque of the fabric selections. Keeping with this year’s trend, the designs were of a classically clean cut, including embellishments such as ruffles, lace, embroidery, fringe and just a touch of sparkle here and there. Simple, sophisticated and trend setting is how I would describe the mood, more natural with a defining element adding a bit of subtle pop.
