Calamosca beach

As soon as I told some friends I was going to Sardinia for a weekend, everyone started sharing their holiday stories suggesting an infinite number of beaches that were a must. I was going for just 2 days in Cagliari for the Aperol Spritz party, so I was hoping for a single suggestion to have a relaxing day without having to travel for hours to reach it. Everyone had visited Sardinia, no one had seen Cagliari apart from the airport so no one could be of help. The taxi driver from the airport to the hotel was of more help and so I discovered Calamosca beach. Just a 10 minutes ride from the city center, situated between Colle Sant’Elia and Poetto beach. Calamosca beach has a family favorite sand seashore and a gravel beach where we found no one. I was so happy to find the perfect spot and be screaming-children free and start my summer reading.

This was a very short trip but I’m planning to go back soon and next time have a proper stay in the Olbia Tempio beaches.
